Alonso embarked on his football career with Real Madrid. He amplified his name with the Bolton Wanderers, then Fiorentina. Barcelona and Marco Alonso reached an agreement to sign after he terminated his contract with Chelsea Football Club. Marco Alonso is a player who shows diversity on the field. He played left back, center back, and left midfield for La Liga, Barcelona, and the Spain national team.

The Daily Mail says that the reason why Manchester United wants to sign Alonso is because “[Alonso] emerged as a potential candidate to fill the void left by Luke Shaw, who suffered a muscle injury that is expected to keep him out for a number of months.”
