The school security officer, Mr. Bzdak, has worked here at Centreville High School for 6 years and sadly, this is last year working here. He attended Bradford University and majored in criminal justice for college.
He said “My favorite thing about this school and being staff is the kids I get to work with.” He also thinks “the school should change and become a four day week instead and change the time school ends and starts.”
If Mr. Bzdak wasn’t here, he would be flying planes. His favorite color is Centreville blue, and has a motorcycle that color. His hobbies are using mountain bikes and paramotors. He also writes books, and has written two novels called “No Screams In Silence” and “Murder In Coal Country.” He has three kids, his oldest is named Taylor, his middle child, Aiden, is nineteen, and his youngest, Addison, is seventeen.
His job is to make sure everyone in this building is in a safe environment, and if anything dangerous enters the building, he will deal with it and take anyone unsafe and escort them into a safe place. He said “Everything that you see on campus, I am responsible for, so I answer questions for you guys, I help with criminal matters that happen in our school like theft, I also talk to a lot of parents about fights and things like that, and solve situations diplomatically,” he said he would step in between the fight and try to calm the people involved down. He said “If I encounter a fight I will work to solve it differently than a teacher, because I am different than a teacher, I operate under a different set of rules.”
