Marvel’s Deadpool and Wolverine will be starring in this new film where things will get chaotic, funny, and packed with loads of action! Deadpool & Wolverine, an upcoming film produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios, will be released later this year on July 26. The movie will star Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
From looking at the trailer, it looks like there’s a new exciting plot along with new characters, different antagonists, and so on. The trailer also showed a bit of the action scenes to come, along with scenes of Deadpool’s sassy and funny remarks. Overall, this movie looks to be exciting and humorous.
Both franchises, Deadpool and Wolverine, have been kept mostly the same from where they last left off in their most recent movies. For example, Deadpool’s “unusual” appearance comes from an incident where he tried to cure his cancer, but the results led to his permanent and recent appearance. This also happened to make him some sort of immortal because his cancerous cells are unable to die. Changing a lot or even something that’s somewhat major to the storyline can cause things in the film to be confusing, especially to fans of the first few films.
As said before, this film looks to be exciting and humorous. Many fans seem to agree as the first two films with Deadpool in them had major success in the box office earning 782.6 and 785.8 million USD. Deadpool and Wolverine are iconic Marvel characters, and when they have two completely different personalities, putting them in the same film is bound to get chaotic. “As far as crafting the Deadpool and Wolverine story, I just felt privileged every day because you’re talking about two massive movie stars in their most iconic roles,” Shawn Levy told Screen Rant during CinemaCon. Levy teased that the film is “going to be gnarly” and “it’s gonna be funny,” and ultimately their main goal was “to build a great time at the theater for audiences.” The director, writer, and producer said that early screenings of the film “were extremely, extremely promising.”
