CVHS Student to Compete in Miss Teen USA 2018

Himanvi Panidepu, a CVHS student who was crowned Miss Virginia Teen USA 2018, will be competing in the national Miss Teen USA pageant this summer in Shreveport, LA. She is a senior and loves competing on the Centreville Varsity Track and Field Team as well as learning and performing traditional Indian song and dance. She also has an active role in her school’s club such as DECA, FBLA team, UNICEF and regularly volunteers in her community. Her hope is to inspire everyone to achieve their dreams and make them a reality, no matter their race, background or the hardships they’ve faced.
Miss Teen USA is a beauty pageants for girls aged 14 to 19 run by Miss Universe Organization. Unlike other pageants, Miss Universe and Miss USA, which are broadcast on Fox, this pageant is webcast on the Miss Teen USA website and simulcast on mobile devices. The Miss Teen USA pageant was formed on August 30, 1983, with its headquarters in New York City. The pageant runs under the presidency of Paula Shugart. The current title holder is Sophia Dominguez-Heithoff of Missouri who was crowned on July 29, 2017, in Phoenix Symphony Hall, Phoenix, Arizona.
