Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have finally tied the knot! The 36 year old Quantico actress and the 26 year old singer got married on December 1, 2018. What wowed the whole world was how beautifully their three day wedding celebrations brought together Western and Indian culture. The couple met in 2017 at a Vanity Affair Oscars party, and they dated for one year before they took the internet by storm after announcing their engagement in August 2018.

They kicked off their celebrations on November 30 with three traditional Hindu ceremonies. The first was a Mehendi ceremony where the bride applies henna. Soon after, they held the Sangeet , which is a full blown dance party. Both the Jonas family and Chopra family competed in a full production dance competition. On her Instagram, Chopra commented that “…what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love.” The ceremony that followed, was the Haldi. There, the groom and bride-to-be are meant to cover themselves with turmeric and rosewater in order to ward off evil spirits and bring prosperity to their lives.

The much awaited Christian ceremony took place on the 1st of December in Jodhpur, India. It was important for Jonas to show his Christian upbringing, so his father, a pastor,  officiated their wedding. Her wedding dress was made by Ralph Lauren and contained mostly embroidery with a jaw-dropping 25-foot veil. The day after, their official Hindu wedding began at Umaid Bhawan, which was a royal palace, but was converted to a five-star hotel with 367 rooms. For her Hindu wedding ceremony, Priyanka wore a stunning red lehenga, and Jonas was in dressed in a traditional Indian outfit and a turban.

All in all it remains one of the most famous weddings of 2018, right after the Royal Wedding of Chopra’s friend Meghan Markle to Prince Harry.
