The 52 year old television actor, Luke Perry, known for starring in Beverly Hills, 90210 and Riverdale, died March 4, 2019 due to a heart attack. The actor was rushed to the hospital from his home in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood in LA. Five days after his stroke, his family made the final decision to remove his life support after realizing he would never recover. He had an incredible amount of support by his side from his family including his children, fiancee, siblings, and ex wife when he died.
Luke Perry will always be known as Dylan McKay on the popular television show, “90210.” The show aired from 1990 to 2000. Perry was also currently starring in the hit Netflix show, “Riverdale”, as Fred Andrews, the father of the main character Archie Andrews, played by KJ Apa.
“Luke was everything you would hope he would be: an incredibly caring, consummate professional with a giant heart, and a true friend to all,” commented the producers of “Riverdale”. “A father figure and mentor to the show’s young cast, Luke was incredibly generous, and he infused the set with love and kindness.”
Perry’s Riverdale co-stars wanted to show him emotional support and give him recognition for his amazing efforts on social media. Actor, Molly Ringwald, stars as the wife of Fred Andrews in “Riverdale”, “My heart is broken. I will miss you so much Luke Perry. Sending all my love to your family. #LukePerry”.
According to the death certificate help by CNN, Luke Perry was recently buried in Tennessee earlier this week.
“I’m lucky: I always wanted to be an actor. But I never felt the need to be in with the crowd. I didn’t mind being on the outside. I was always looking forward or upwards, not in.” Luke Perry will be remembered by his love for others and the effect he had on the people in his life.
