Editorial Policy

The objective of The Sentinel’s Staff is to provide a student forum where information is provided and voices can be heard. Our mission is to provide the student body of Centreville High School an honest and accurate paper produced by the students, for the students.

Our editorials represent the opinions of The Sentinel’s editors and always promote the opportunity for critique and response. Our opinion pieces reflect the view of the writer and the writer only, and are not printed to offend. This is a publication that maintains high standards and proper ethical conduct, per the guidelines of professional and scholastic journalism organizations.

Any student can submit a piece of writing for consideration at any time — via e-mail at [email protected], in person at room 209, or in the main office in Mr. Marley’s mailbox.  We reserve the right to edit the responses for length, grammatical correctness, and spelling.
