Theatre Centreville is gearing up for its 2021 spring production of Disenchanted! There are dozens of enthusiastic CVHS students involved in technical, training, and acting roles. The musical will include many of your favorite fairy tale princesses like Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Pocahontas, and more. However, this is no typical princess story; being a princess isn’t as glamorous as you might think… and they are here to share the real talk on living the enchanted life!

“It’s a modern representation of the Disney princesses and how they have some disagreements with how they were portrayed in their stories,” said Josie Puckett.

This production was met with extra challenges due to COVID-19. “It’s a unique opportunity to film a show instead of performing it live which comes with a whole new set of experiences and problems awaiting to be solved,” Puckett, who plays Sleeping Beauty, commented. The show is currently being rehearsed through google meets but will begin rehearsals in person after spring break. “I’m excited to practice onstage, in-person, at CVHS in April. The students of the cast and crew are working really hard and hope everyone will enjoy streaming our show in May,” said Isabella Viale, who will be featured as Rapunzel.

Performances will be streamed Friday, May 7; Saturday, May 8; and Sunday, May 9. For details and tickets, go to theatrecentreville.com.
