Battlefront 2 Review

Star Wars Battlefront 2 was released on November 17th, 2017 by DICE and EA. It is available for the PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. The game has ratings of 9/10 on Steam and 91% on Google.

Battlefront 2 has several different game modes, the most popular of which is Galactic Assault because of the large player count and many objectives depending on the map. Another game mode is “Capital Supremacy,” where the goal is to capture points and destroy the opposing team’s capital ship. Starfighter Assault is similar to Galactic Assault, but instead of playing as infantry units and vehicles, you only play in a starfighter. Ewok Hunt focuses on different gameplay than the rest of Battlefront; you can start as a Stormtrooper and try to survive until extraction when the Ewoks (small bear things) hunt the Stormtroopers. Co-op is similar to Galactic Assault, but you just capture points. This game mode has a maximum of four players who are all on your team. There are also several other game modes that are less popular but still fun.

Battlefront 2 was fun to revisit after a few years, and it is now my favorite game. One of the things that I enjoy about this game is the character customization. Being able to choose what my character looks like is more enjoyable than everyone looking the same. Another good feature is that you are able to change your character’s abilities and weapons, which allows different play styles depending on maps and game modes. Different classes also allow more variety. The basic classes include Assault, which is for players who focus on fighting other players and taking objectives. heavy, which is best against vehicles and other players. Officers are best at supporting teammates. Specialists are used against opposing players at a longer range. Battlefront 2 lets people play as special classes and heroes with enough points from completing objectives and defeating opposing players. The special classes are enforcer, aerial, and infiltrator. Depending on which faction they belong to, each has its own set of abilities. Being able to do the same with starfighters also adds freedom of choice. The different classes are fighters, which are best against opposing ships. Interceptors are great against everything but have low health, as are bombers, which are slow but have lots of health and do heavy damage.

Battlefront 2’s best feature, in my opinion, is the three different eras you can play in. The Clone War, the galactic imperial occupation, and the First Order occupation Being able to play in different eras makes the game much more fun. Every match, depending on the era, is different in its own way and requires different strategies, which makes the game much more fun.

Battlefront 2 has a story mode that is set during the Imperial occupation. I think this is a great addition to the game because it’s good practice for new players and shows different perspectives from people on both sides of the war. I think the story itself is good without needing to focus on the war, but seeing the choices the Imperial forces must make between their honor and what they believe is right shows the humanity that exists even in the most evil.
