A Bitcoin millionaire, Jon Collins, has created a nationwide treasure hunt worth $2 million in Bitcoin and other prizes, inviting people to solve riddles and uncover hidden wealth. “There are no complex ciphers. You just need curiosity, imagination, and the willingness to try,” Jon Collins assures (Diario AS). According to Jon Collins himself, he was inspired by his love for adventure, and he created this project to bring people together and ignite their sense of curiosity, and make the difficulty level suitable for all participants.
The hunt is based on clues found in his book, There’s Treasure Inside. Each chest contains incredible treasures, like rare Pookemon cards, gold, and historical artifacts, including a brooch owned by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Wilma Rudolph’s Olympic gold medal.
Collins spent years planning the hunt, carefully designing the clues to make them challenging yet solvable. The search is designed to be safe and fun for everyone. Participants don’t need to dig, explore dangerous areas, or trespass into private property. The treasure hunt has already sparked a lot of interest and excitement, with thousands of people have already joined online communities, sharing ideas and trying to figure out the treasure chest’s locations together. Many participants believe that they have narrowed down the states where the chests might be hidden, but Collins remains extremely tight-lipped about the locations, even keeping the secret from his own family.
“I wanted to have the chests spread out to give people the optimistic, adventurous possibility,” Jon Collins says (CNN). For Collins, the hunt isn’t just about the valuables inside of the treasure chest, but rather about the adventure. He hopes that this adventure will inspire optimism and excitement, encouraging people to explore, hope, and connect with one another. If the treasures aren’t found after a few years, he plans to release even more clues to the public, such as creating a sequel to his book and continuing the excitement.
