Girls JV Basketball

Girls JV basketball started the season off hot with a 4-0 start but unfortunately has slowed down since then. They are now 6-3 but are looking to keep improving. The team is a very close nit group and all get along well. “My favorite things about the team are the atmosphere at practice and games are always fun to be in, and my teammates are always there for me,” said Marissa Yee, a Sophomore basketball player. Carolyn Hott adds “our team bonds very well together; we’re all friends and super close.”

Even though  the JV sports team cannot make the playoffs, they hope to improve, so they can try to get better for possible varsity spots. “We need to improve our shot percentages,” Marissa Yee said about the team. The players say the team is very fun and exciting and with 7 games left, they hope to win as many as they can. The coach is considered great by the players. “Coach is like my best friend,” said Carolyn Hott.

With the team heading into the end of the season, the girls are hitting stride hoping to win out the rest of the season. Games are usually at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays, but you can always check the schedule on the Centreville Website.
