I Am The Sun

By: Jazz Padgett

I am the sun, and you are the clouds.

Although you hide me at times, I am always here.

My skies have been clear and many times dark.

Sometimes you can’t see me, but I am always here.

You are the clouds, and I am the sun.

Sometimes you overpower me and make me feel unwanted, but I am always here.

My days have been gloomy and rainy, but I somehow work up a smile.

I am the sun, and you are the clouds.

I’ve had my days where I don’t want to shine, but I’ve managed to do it.

You are the clouds, and I am the sun.
