As the 2025-2026 school year comes to a close and decision day has come and gone, it seems the one question on everybody’s mind has been: “what are you doing next year?!” So, it seems only fitting that we asked that very question to Centreville Highschool’s most influential students.
The class of 2026 has been led by Bailey Laufer, class president, Bailey has not only been a star student but has been involved in a multitude of clubs and honor societies including but not limited to, Varsity Club, Key Club, German Honor Society, Math Honor Society, and Science Honor Society. In the fall, Bailey will be attending the University of Virginia, she will be majoring in Human Biology on a Pre-Med track. Bailey’s advice for underclassmen is to “get involved in extracurricular activities.” She attributes her success to “applying Early-Decision, and [her] willingness to get involved in her community.” Congratulations Bailey!
Another leader within the school who is going on to big things is Sean Kim, the president of National Honor Society. Sean is a member of the Varsity Soccer team, and a viral sensation on Instagram for his participation in the “75 hard” challenge. Sean is an incredible student, maintaining a 4.5 GPA as an honors and AP student. Sean will be attending Georgia Tech in the fall. He will be majoring in Computer Engineering and Software Development. Sean’s advice for underclassmen is to “build cool things.” Sean wants to thank all his teachers and friends for helping support him. Congratulations Sean!
Centreville has not only created outstanding athletes and academics but also outstanding artists! Madelyn Regan, the Choir President, Vice President of the International Thespian Society, and lead critic of the Cappies team, will be attending the University of Michigan and majoring in Voice. Madelyn has been an avid artist throughout her time at Centreville, singing in choir, acting in theater, performing with the jazz band, and reviewing musicals and plays. Madelyn’s advice for underclassmen is to “enjoy the moments while you have them.” She says “highschool flies by, and [she wishes she had] spent more time savoring every moment.” Congratulations Madelyn!
The Centreville SGA program has been a massive cornerstone of the community, creating leaders and organizing events; there are no people more representative of SGA’s effect than the board members themselves. There are many notable members of SGA attending exceptional programs such as Caitlin Goff, attending Duquesne University for Division I Swim and Health Sciences. Kayleigh Le Eickolt, attending the University of North Carolina Wilmington for Business. Kathryn Mazur, attending James Madison University for Computer Information Systems. Sania Brooks, attending Coastal Carolina University for Hospitality and Tourism. Dylan Croft, attending the University of Tennessee Knoxville for Kinesiology. Lizzy Asif, attending Christopher Newport University for Biology and Leadership. Ryan Croft, attending the University of Georgia for Business, and Ethan Brower attending the University of Virginia for Division I Cheer and Public Health. Congratulations to all the senior SGA members!
Last, but definitely not least, the Centreville Sentinel’s very own copy editors will be graduating as well. Both majoring in English and hoping to continue their Journalism careers at their colleges in New England. Emma will be attending Fordham University where she will be majoring in English and Political Science, she is most excited to be in the city. Alexa will be attending the University of Vermont and majoring in English through the Liberal Arts Scholars Program, she is most excited for ski trips. Emma and Alexa will be splitting up but don’t worry, they will be keeping in touch and making frequent trips to visit each other.
Congratulations to all the seniors of Centreville Highschool!! Enjoy the next four.
