Gesar Ngagpo Bio Pic

Gesar Ngagpo, Chief Sports Reporter

Gesar is a junior at Centreville High School. He was born on February 5, 2009 as an only child into a family of two journalists (his mom and dad), and he first came to CVHS in the 2023/24 school year. He plans to attend college with a major in broadcast journalism.

His main goal as a writer is to develop a genuine storytelling ability, one that’s easy to understand but also profound in meaning. His main goal as an aspiring journalist is to remain as objective and unbiased as he can, whilst also not shying away from all of the unadorned facts. He hopes that he could be a person with information you can genuinely trust in an industry which, as of now either way too liberal or way too conservative, and truth be told, there is barely any source in between.

He loves talking to people, and he loves presenting and giving speeches. As of right now, he also works as a play-by-play sportscaster for the North Stars Soccer Club as well as a YouTube channel called DMV Sports Media. To his own admission, when it comes to talking about sports, he’ll tell it like it is, even though it may come as being slightly a bit negative or opinionated. Especially when any team isn’t doing so well. But in about every other topic, he remains as truthful as possible; the way every journalist should be.
