Anvita Tangella was born in Sunnyvale, California. She first came to CVHS in 2024 as a freshman. Her goals as a writer are to improve her journalistic abilities and gain experiences with different genres of writing.

This is Anvita’s second year as a staff writer on the Centreville Sentinel. She hopes to continue to learn the different aspects of journalism. As an aspiring journalist she hopes to inform the public about current events. She has a keen interest in gaining new perspectives on various issues. She hopes to write stories that can help keep students updated about important events and changes. As a journalist she is interested in covering school events as well as new policies that are being implemented. She hopes to provide everyone in the CVHS community with a voice and perspective.

As part of journalism she has written articles about natural disasters impacting our society. Last year she wrote and published an article about the wildfires that impacted California which helped her understand the true impact journalism can have on people’s lives. She is also part of extracurricular activities such as Model UN and Technology Student Association. She hopes to continue learning how to be a better journalist and create impact through her journalism.
